I never want to review books. I don't think I'm qualified to judge or to advise if a book is worth reading or not. If I like what I read, I just say so.

I'm reading Chris Cleave's "Little Bee" while knitting my Manu with Squoosh Fibers Rapture in Ochre. It's too hot to knit in this first Summer heat wave in Vancouver, so I read a lot. From the first page of the book, I know "Little Bee" is a great read:
" Most day I wish I was a British pound coin instead of an African girl. Everyone would be pleased to see me coming..."
Thought I should share it with you.
that is such a gorgeous photo! the yarn and the book cover look amazing. That is a really intriguing first sentence- I'm going to reserve this at the library right now!
ReplyDeleteThat sentence is so touching! I just signed up for Audible.com because I like to listen to audiobooks while I knit. I have to check this title out.
ReplyDeleteThis Squoosh Ochre more beautiful than Malabrigo's Frank Ochre. Where were you able to purchase this yarn, I've never been lucky with Squoosh!
I hope you will enjoy reading this book. It is very touching, the story.
ReplyDeleteI was yarn browsing on etsy and happened to be at Squoosh when these three gorgeous golden skeins of yarn ...uh...started calling my name.
I love the photo slides :)
